I like your site. In the past 6 months I have been learning about stocks for building a nest egg to retire. As of current law the qualified dividend tax rate is 15% subject to change in year 2013 .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qualified_dividend ,Also any stock held for at least 1 full year has a capital gains tax of just 15% also. That being said any money made by the share holder is taxed at no more than 15%. Correct me if I am wrong. This is important for people that want to keep there taxes down. Now my opinion on which stock to hold would be the a long term growing in price performance for a tax rate of 15% only when sold. Example: Say stock symbol AGNC pays a large dividend around 15% and a 52 week price growth of around 13% a great gain of 28% total in 52 weeks not bad, all taxable at 15% of your profits. Or you can purchase DG that has price performance growth of 60% in 52 weeks with no dividend. DG chart is also a steady climb. You can get a great gain of 60% at a tax rate of 15%. A stock like DG is the clear winner. I have a plan to play this with a safety net as well, but not getting into that now. Food for thought
